A Turk was grievously injured in a construction site accident in Kalkara on Friday, police said.

In a statement, police said that the man, a 41-year-old Turk who lives in Gzira sustained injuries after he fell around a storey-and-a-half at a construction site in Triq Santu Rokku in Kalkara.

The man was given medical assistance before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

There he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police said that their investigations are still on going.
