The Office of The Commissioner for Animal Welfare is inviting members of the public to share their pet adoption stories.

The idea is to encourage others to adopt animals and take care of them in their homes.

“Whether you've adopted a cat, a dog, or any other animal, we'd like to hear from you,” the office of the Commissioner for Animal Welfare said on its Facebook page.

“Please write your stories in the comments section. Every participant will win a free ID tag for their pet.”
