Opposition Leader Bernard Grech said Monday that Prime Minister Robert Abela had sent a drone to film his Mosta home.
“Instead of answering legitimate questions from journalists, he ordered One News to invent a story about me,” he said in a social media post.
Earlier, the Prime Minister told journalists that he will be speaking on television tonight about the “villa with swimming pool” that Grech built while declaring earnings of €6,000 a year.
“Had One News knocked on the door, we would have opened the door and given them a tour of the home that my family and I built for ourselves and for which we had to work for decades, weekends included.”
Grech said that, unlike Abela, he has nothing to hide. “I had to work for what I have and I have never been given anything by a criminal. Abela should stop panicking and start answering questions. Maybe one day he will accept to hold a face-to-face debate with me.”
