A 70-year-old woman has died while positive for Covid-19, as health authorities reported 122 new cases of the virus on Tuesday.

184 people meanwhile have recovered, taking the number of active cases down to 1,565.

52 patients are currently receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, with three of those in intensive care.

1,232,438 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 338,537 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 70,149 cases of the virus. 67,555 of those have recovered, while 593 have died.
