A woman was grievously injured after she lost control of the car she was driving and it overturned, the police said.

The accident took place in Gharb Road, Ghard, on Wednesday at 11.30pm.

The woman, aged 31, of Zebbug, Gozo, was taken to Gozo General Hospital with grievous injuries.

She was driving a Toyota Yaris.
