Details about the deaths or about the number of people receiving treatment in hospitals were not provided, and have not been provided since the Ministry for Health stopped issuing its daily bulletin on social media.

The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses however on Monday said that over 150 Covid-19 patients are receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, a number which they say is putting the hospital in a severe crisis.

A total of 1,257,716 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far. 351,170 of those are booster doses.

Malta has had 82,126 cases of the virus. 73,898 of those have recovered, while 644 have died.
