A man was grievously injured after he was stabbed in a garage in Mosta on Tuesday afternoon, the police said.

The incident took place in Hope Street at 3.30pm.

The man, aged 57 of Mosta, was involved in an argument with another person, during which a pointed instrument was used.

The 57-year-old was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.

The police have mounted a search for the other man.
