There were some embarrassing moments on One TV on Sunday as a viewer, in reply to a question, said that the name of the Prime Minister’s wife is “Michelle”.

It happened during a fund-raising telethon on the Labour Party’s TV station, during which the party collected €402,338.

Some of the viewers who donated money were asked to reply to simple questions to win prizes.

One of the viewers was asked to give the name of the Prime Minister’s wife.

Instead of replying Lydia, the viewer answered “Michelle”, the name of former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

As seen in footage, the presenters tried hard to cover the mistake. "You gave me a shock," the presenter said.

In the background, Minister Miriam Dalli picked up the phone and covered her face.
