Two youths were arrested with drugs in Buskett, the police said in a statement.

At 11pm yesterday, two community police officers took note of two people inside a BMW that was parked under a tent.

The officers asked the two to exit the vehicle, and the car was searched. Inside, they found cannabis and a number of small plastic bags. The two youths from Mosta aged 21 and 18 were searched, and more drugs were found on one of them.

The homes of the two were also searched, and items related to drug abuse were found.

A magisterial inquiry was launched and the two youths were taken to the police lock up in Floriana.
