A woman is in critical condition after losing control of the e-scooter she was riding and crashing, the police said.

The accident took place in St George’s Road, St Julian’s, on Friday at 3.45am.

The woman, aged 27, a Turkish resident in Sliema, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke is leading an inquiry.
