A man was critically injured after a fall on a construction site in Marsascala.

The police said the accident happened in Artillieri Street at 9.45am.

The man, aged 45 of Qormi, fell down the stairs are hit his head, the police said.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Monica Vella is leading an inquiry.
