A woman was grievously injured on Saturday after she was hit by a motorcycle in Burmarrad.

The accident took place at around 2:45pm, the police said.

The woman, who is from St Paul’s Bay, was hit by a Yamaha bike that was being driven by a 31-year-old man from Zebbug.

The motorcyclist was slightly injured.

The woman was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
