An earthquake was felt in parts of Malta and Gozo on Tuesday afternoon.

It was around 1.40pm that buildings shook.

The earthquake epicentre. 4.4 on the Richter svale, was some miles north of Gozo.

The tremor was felt in several parts of Malta, including Gozo, St Julian’s, San Gwann, Mosta, Luqa, Qormi and Sliema.

No damage has been reported.
