A man has died after he lost control of the car he was driving which crashed into two vehicles, the police said.

The accident happened in Triq l-Ixprunara, Ghajnsielem, Gozo, on Wednesday at 9pm.

The driver, a 79-year-old man of Ghajnsielem, lost control of the Peugeot 206 he was driving. The car crashed into two parked vehicles, a Mitsubishi L200 and a Mazda Demio.

A medical team gave him first assistance before he was taken to Gozo Hospital, where he died some time later.

Magistrate Simon Grech is leading an inquiry.
