There were 110 cases related to students being caught with electronic cigarettes (Vapes) in Maltese schools in 2022.

PN MP Ivan Castillo asked a parliamentary question to Education Minister Clifton Grima, asking for information as to how many times students have been caught in schools with electronic cigarettes over the last two years.

Grima said that during 2021 the Anti-Substance Unit within the National Support Services for students received 70 referrals regarding the use of vapes and cigarettes, while during the year 2022, there were 110 cases related to vape use.
