Vassallo Group's Arkati Foundation Day was held recently, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the group's internal Charity Fund.  The Arkati Foundation is an employee solidarity fund which was founded back in 1991.  It aims at safeguarding the safety and well-being of employees going through difficult times.  The beauty of its solidarity is that the employees themselves donate a small fee from their salary, while the company contributes a substantial amount too every year.

Group Chairperson Natalie Briffa Farrugia, Group CEO Pio Vassallo together with Chief People Officer Lee Xuereb and other group employees visited various locations of Vassallo Group such as CareMalta's facilities, HILA's homes as well as CaterEssence, Learning Works, Campus Hub, Vassallo Business Park and Mediterranean College of Sport.

The aim of these visits is first and foremost to raise awareness about the Foundation and all the services employees can benefit from while also thanking them for their participation and support.

Dress down for charity in aid of Europa Donna Malta

Another event 'Dress down for charity' was held across the group to collect money for a good cause.  The funds collected, a cheque of €1450 were presented to Rowena Enriquez, Vice-President of Europa Donna Malta which forms part of Europa Donna, the European Breast Cancer Coalition.  This support group was set up in Malta to raise more awareness about breast cancer and breast health while also supporting those affected and their loved ones.  Their aim is also to help cancer survivors reclaim a positive body image and healthy lifestyle.
