A 24-year-old Columbian man who resides in St Paul's Bay died from a fall early Friday morning, at around 6.15am.

The police were informed that their assistance was needed close to the Portomaso Marina. Preliminary investigations found that a man who was in a building close by saw a person nearby climbing a wall and the leaping onto the grass.

Soon after, a security official who went to check the area heard a person in pain and called for assistance. A medical team and Civil Protection Department officials went on site and the man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, however he lost his life.

Magistrate Joseph Mifsud is leading an inquiry and investigations are ongoing.
