A nine-year-old girl was injured when she was hit by a car and an e-kick scooter rider was hurt in separate accidents on Saturday, the police said Sunday.

At 6.45pm, a nine-year-old girl was hit by a Ford Transit Connect driven by a 43-year-old man of Qormi. The accident happened in Dawret it-Torri, Santa Lucija, at 6.45pm.

At 9.30pm, a Filipino 37-year-old man who resides in Pieta was injured when he fell while riding an e-kick scooter in Kukkanja Street, Santa Venera.

Both suffered grievous injuries and were taken to hospital.
