A biker was critically injured on Saturday morning after he was involved in a collision with a car in Qormi.

The police said that the accident took place in Luqa Road at 11am.

The biker, a 24-year-old man from Luqa, was riding a Kymco Agility which was involved in a collision with a Toyota Vitz driven by a 31-year-old man from Marsa.

The biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Lara Lanfranco is leading an inquiry.
