Two rescued after falling off cliff at Paradise Bay

Two persons were rescued after falling off a cliff at Ghar Tuta, limits of Paradise Bay, on Friday evening.

The Malta Rescue Coordination Centre received a call from a Police Officer, reporting that two persons fell off a cliff at Għar Tuta, limits of Paradise Bay, a Department of Information statement said.

RCC Malta immediately directed Armed Forces of Malta assets to the location, and successfully rescued the casualties.

“Both casualties were not cooperating with the AFM helicopter crew, and were taken to AFM’s Air Wing Base. They were handed over to Malta Police Force personnel and a medical team from Mater Dei accordingly,” the statement said.

The AFM did not give any details on the gender of the persons rescued, their ages, locality of residence, nationality or health condition after the rescue. Neither did it give the time of when the accident happened.
