The police are set to charge a man in connection with the killing of two dogs in Sannat, Gozo, on Monday.
The police said in a statement on Tuesday morning that it was informed of the incident, in Trq l-Ghaxra ta’ Ottubru, 1942, at 5.45pm.
The two fox terriers were found dead. They had been shot, the police said.
The police said that a 51-year-old man was assisting the police in their investigations.
In a statement later on Tuesday, the police said that a man was to be charged in connection with the case at around 9pm in the Gozo Courts before duty magistrate Simone Grech.
It is not clear whether the man is the 51-year-old who police said was assisting their investigations.
Magistrate Simone Grech is also leading an inquiry.
