European Parliament President Roberta Metsola has received Premio Biagio Agnes in Italy.

"This award is testament of the European Parliament's leadership in supporting Ukraine, of our commitment to burst through the Brussels and Strasbourg bubble, and take Europe to people in every town, village and city.  We will keep going. We keep listening, keep explaining and keep delivering. Europe can be more," she posted on Facebook.

Metsola received the award for her work both during the last 18 months as President of the European Parliament, and also for her work previously on an anti-SLAPP suit report.
