The police are investigating a string of thefts from shops selling mobile phones and related equipment over the past days.

Burglaries have taken place in outlets in San Gwann and Qormi in the past days, with CCTV footage showing burglars forcing open metal shutters, smashing glass cases and taking away whatever they could grab.

The robberies took place on 11 July and 14 July.

CCTV footage that is making the rounds on social media shows the robbers, believed to be men, breaking into the shops in Hammieri Road, Qormi and Vjal ir-Rihan, San Gwann, filling plastic bags with all the equipment they could manage in a few minutes.
