After media reports indicating that Air Malta will be closed down on Monday, the government should publicly say what will happen to the national airline and its employees, the Nationalist Party said in a statement.
The way the government is dealing with the situation exposes the government’s incompetence, lack of transparency and lack of respect towards all stakeholders, the PN said.
The government has failed and it has failed to save Air Malta. The financial weight is estimated to be €300 million, a massive sum that leads to more concern.
The airline has lost credibility in the international scene and the way the government failed to protect the airline leads to doubts that it is able to administer delicate situations, the PN said.
