Independent candidate Arnold Cassola has met with the Auditor General, Charles Deguara, and other NAO officials "to discuss possible irregularities concerning the award of the Marsa Junction tender."

Cassola made the announcement in a statement sent to the press.

During this meeting, Arnold Cassola pointed out possible irregularities, he said, including: alleged 'hidden commissions' to a 'hidden intermediary', "divulging of insider information, at least  10 weeks before initial award of tender"; "breaking of the law by government, with regards to procurement process, through illegal reassignment of tender to unrelated third parties"; "possible request for illegal payments by IM high official" and others.
