A motorcyclist had to be hospitalised after he was involved in a traffic accident in San Gwann on Wednesday morning.

Police said that a crash between a Toyota Regius van driven by a 38-year-old man from Marsascala and a Honda motorcycle ridden by a 54-year-old man from Siggiewi happened at around 8am on Wednesday in Triq R. Caruana Dingli in San Gwann.

The 54-year-old man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police said that investigations are ongoing.
