PN questions if action will be taken for Rosianne Cutajar to pay back money from ITS consultancy job

The PN on Wednesday questioned if Prime Minister Robert Abela, or the Police Commissioner will take action against independent MP Rosianne Cutajar to get her to pay the money she received from her ITS consultancy job back.

“The report of the Auditor General confirms that Rosianne Cutajar's consultancy at the ITS was fraudulent and irregular. She took the money without doing anything. This means that Cutajar confirmed that she took the people's money, and also confirmed what she said in the chats with alleged murder mastermind Yorgen Fenech, that since everyone was ‘pigging out’ she would as well”, the PN said.

It said that in a recent message, Opposition Leader Bernard Grech had said that the Nationalist Party will be submitting a vote of censure through a motion in Parliament to demand that Cutajar “returns the money she took without earning it.”

The PN will present a vote to return back the money, and a vote of censure, a message to Cutajar that she has done wrong.

“As in the social benefits scandal, the money had to be repaid, and some even had to go to court, because they were given the benefits when they were not supposed to receive them,” the PN said, questioning what Prime Minister Robert Abela will do to address the situation around Cutajar.

“What will the Police Commissioner do? Why is there a Member of Parliament, who was an elected member on behalf of the Labour Party, who took thousands of euros from the Maltese people when she was not supposed to do so?” the PN said.

The PN also questioned if there will be any court action or other steps to be taken. “Will she be obliged to return this money? Or is there a law for gods and a law for animals?” it said.

Regarding this, Grech had emphasized that in a country where we should reward the hard-working, it is illegal and unacceptable for a person to be paid thousands of euros from the people's money for a “fictional job” that Cutajar did not do.
