Magician Michael Mock, of Malta’s Got Talent fame, has died.

He was aged 58.

Michael, son of the late Balluta WPC (today San Giljan ASC) goalkeeper Charles Mock, died suddenly on Monday, his family said on the social media.

“Today, we bid farewell to the magical soul, Michael Mock,” the Malta’s Got Talent page said on its Facebook page.

“Michael's true magic was in the simplest of tricks and jokes, radiating happiness to everyone around him. Whether it was sleight of hand or the mysteries of Mentalism, he made us believe in the extraordinary.

“Rest in peace, Michael Mock, and may your magic live on in our hearts forever.”

Magician Vanni Pule also expressed his shock on Facebook.

“I mentored Michael Mock in magic when he was about 12 and we remained friends since then. Was with him yesterday lunchtime,” Pule said.
