With more than three million tourist arrivals in 2023, Malta has regained its predominant position as a favoured travel destination. The vast majority of these arrivals stayed in hotels.
Mirroring the increase in arrivals was the continued opening of new properties in all categories of the lodging industry, especially boutique hotels and guest houses; and the 2024 edition of the Malta Hotels Directory reflects this.
A special section for boutique hotels was added to the publication in 2022, and this year's edition sees the inclusion of 40 of these - 37 in Malta and 13 in Gozo.
This information and more is available in the just published 2024 edition of the Malta Hotels Directory. This is the 25th edition of the annual directory that was first published in 1999.
The directory is produced by Mosta-based Island Publications on behalf of the Malta Tourism Authority, and is the official accommodation listing for the islands.
The authority distributes it globally and makes it available through all of its PR agents located all over the world, as well as, of course, locally through its information offices.
The Malta Hotels Directory 2024 may also be downloaded from the authority's site (www.visitmalta.com/en/a/hotels/).
The 124-page directory lists all licensed hotels, tourist villages (well, there's just one), guest houses and hostels on the islands.
