A passenger riding in a van was injured when the vehicle crashed into a steel structure in Cospicua on Monday evening, the police said.
The van, an Iveco, was being driven by an Italian 38-year-old man.
The passenger, a foreigner aged 29, was trapped inside the car.
He was later rescued by members of the Civil Protection Department and taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
