Prime Minister Robert Abela this morning visited the Kordin prison where inmates have prepared tens of “Apostles’ bread rings”, the traditional bread that is consumed during Holy Week.
The Mill-Forn tal- Ħabs initiative aids in rehabilitation of people who served their term and teaches them valuable new skills that can be used on their reintegration into society, a Department of Information statement said Thursday.
The PM met Corrective Services Officials and prisoners working together to prepare the bread which is then sold to passers-by outside the prison in Kordin.
