A driver was injured on Sunday evening in a two-car head-on collision in Mgarr, the police said.
The accident took place in Sir Temi Zammit Road at 10.10pm.
The police said that the driver of a Toyota Vitz lost control of the car he was driving, with the result that the car veered onto the opposing lane.
The car crashed into a wall and into another vehicle, a Citroen C4.
The Toyota driver, a 32-year-old man of Luqa, was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
The Citroen driver was unhurt.
