Three elderly persons were injured on Sunday afternoon when the car they were in overturned after crashing into a parked vehicle, the police said Monday.

The accident took place in Valley Road, Iklin, at 5pm.

The car, a VW T-Cross, was being driven by a 65-year-old man of Birkirkara, who had two women riding as passengers, aged 65 and 74, both of Birkirkara.

They were all taken to hospital, with the driver suffering grievous injuries while the two women were slightly hurt.
