A comment made by the Minister for Inclusion can easily be seen as being in bad taste, to say the least, especially given her portfolio.
During a political activity, Farrugia Portelli referred to a statement by Opposition Leader Bernard Grech, who said that Prime Minister Robert Abela is allergic to the truth.
Referencing this, Farrugia Portelli said: "yesterday we had Bernard Grech who said that we have a prime minister who is allergic to the truth. I tell you, Bernard Grech, the Maltese and Gozitan people are allergic to you, and to the PN's politics. Not now, but one election after another from 2013 till today."
Defending her statement, Farrugia Portelli issued a Facebook post, saying that it seems her speech annoyed Nationalists and that they "tried to deceive by showing only a few seconds of a full speech and manipulated in such a way as to create a different picture." She then posted the whole part of her speech on social media.
