Transport Minister Chris Bonett refused to divulge the amount specific roadworks cost despite being asked in a number of Parliamentary Questions.

PN MP Joe Giglio asked the minister to state when works started and ended, and for information as to how much the works were projected to cost and ended up costing, for Triq Mater Boni Consilii in Fgura, Triq Dun Ġużepp Demicoli in Għaxaq, Triq Manoel de Vilhena, and part of Triq Carlo Manchè in Gżira, Ix-Xatt ta' Tignè in Gżira, Triq San Ġwann, in Hamrun, and also for the resurfacing works at MIA ring road, il-Gudja.

Instead of responding as to how much in public funds the works each cost, the minister gave the same generic answer for all of the questions.

He said that the works in the mentioned projects "are part of the government's plan to implement unprecedented investment of €700 over seven years to improve the quality and security of road infrastructure. "Infrastructure Malta continues implementing one project after another that continues preparing Malta for today and the future: projects that governments pre-2013 did not have the will or vision to implement and always looked elsewhere when faced with pressure."
