Woman critically hurt in St Paul’s Bay by-pass crash

A woman was critically hurt on Wednesday evening when the bike she was riding was involved in a collision with two vehicles on the St Paul’s Bay by-pass, the police said.

The woman, aged 66 of San Gwann, was riding a Honda bike which was involved in a crash with a Peugeot 3008 driven by a 25-year-old man of St Paul’s Bay and a Peugeot 308 driven by a 52-year-old man, also of St Paul’s Bay.

The police said that with the impact the bike crashed into barriers on the side of the road.

The biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The accident happened at 7.15pm.

Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici is leading an inquiry.
