NGO Repubblika has condemned the re-integration of Rosianne Cutajar in the Labour Party’s parliamentary group, saying she had been dismissed following her “dishonesty and greed” that was uncovered via leaked Whatsapp chats.

In a statement on Saturday, Repubblika said that Prime Minister Robert Abela had accepted her back without as much as an apology, which the PM himself had demanded as a condition for her return.

This shows that the culture of impunity, not of integrity, is rewarded by this government. This is another obscene gesture that shows that people close to power do what they like and the people have to pay for their capriciousness.

Cutajar is famous for her “everyone pigs out” comment. “We correct this to say that people in power without a conscience pig out,” Repubblika said.
