The Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) is proud to announce the upcoming Sustainable Hospitality Tourism Course for Industry Professionals, presented in collaboration with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). This essential course will take place on the 1st and 2nd October, offering tourism professionals the knowledge and tools necessary to advance sustainability practices within the travel and tourism sector.

The two-day, interactive training course will cover the GSTC Criteria-globally recognized sustainability standards for travel and tourism. Participants will gain insight into best practices for implementing sustainability at the business and destination levels. The course is designed to equip participants with tangible skills to meet these standards, empowering businesses to enhance their sustainable operations and practices.

The course will be led by Dr. Ioannis Pappas, Director of the Mediterranean Region for GSTC and Founder & CEO of GREEN EVOLUTION SA. With over 30 years of experience in sustainability for tourism, energy efficiency, and environmental consulting, Dr. Pappas brings extensive expertise to the course. His background in advising public and private sectors on climate adaptation, ESG, and sustainability practices will provide attendees with invaluable insights.

The MTA encourages all industry professionals committed to advancing sustainability within the tourism sector to take advantage of this exclusive training opportunity. This course is not only a chance to improve your business's sustainability footprint but also a pathway to joining a global community of certified professionals in sustainable tourism.
