Prime Minister Robert Abela has inaugurated a new factory run by E&L Enterprises in Hal Far.
The company has moved to bigger premises following a €2.6 million investment assisted by schemes run by Malta Enterprise and INDIS, a government statement said.
In his speech, Abela noted that this company, which produces material for infrastructural projects, started off as a family business that expanded.
He said that in the last three years Malta Enterprise approved investments that reach an expenditure of €132 million.
Abela said that Maltese investors are an important link in the creation of quality jobs for young people. He referred to the Labour Migration Policy the government is planning to introduce and spoke about the importance of vocational training and a strong economy that attracts investment.
