The Labour Party said that it was once again noting and condemning "the arrogant and cold attitude of the Nationalist Opposition towards Speaker Anġlu Farrugia."
"This follows further disparaging comments by the de facto leader of the Nationalist Party, Karol Aquilina," the PL said.
The party said that after being reprimanded by the Speaker earlier on Thursday for offensive remarks directed at him, including calling him "shameless" and questioning whether he even has the intellect to think, Aquilina, who has seized control of the Nationalist Party, continued to mock the Speaker, stating that "everyone knows what they think about him."
He persisted with this behaviour even after being found guilty of breaching Parliamentary Privilege, the party added.
"Karol Aquilina's arrogant attitude confirms what the people have been continuously saying about this clique of Nationalist MPs who have taken over the PN and who fully control Bernard Grech 'arrogant, hysterical, extremist, and with a strong sense of entitlement,'" the PL said.
