The Labour Party said that the PN has no credibility when it comes to traffic, and has no interest in fixing the country's current needs in this sector.
The PL said that if there is a party which does not have "a plan and direction in the country, it is none other than the Nationalist Party."
"Every day it comes up with something new and does not know what it said the previous day," the PL said.
It continued that the PN first attacked the measures announced in connection with traffic, but then at the same time had its leader Bernard Grech say that the measures are copied from their own ideas.
Now, the PL noted, the party held another press conference on Thursday saying that the government did not hold any consolutations before launching the measures.
"The PN forgot that before these measures were launched, consultation was held about the proposals with experts, social partners and the public and thus translated into measures," the PL said.
"It is clear that the Nationalist Party wants transport to never be addressed in our country. They are comfortable to criticise, do not propose anything and only hide behind the mass transport option, a solution that can only take place over decades," the PL said.
"The current needs are of no interest for them," it added.
"With the PN you do not know where you stand. Worse still, the Opposition does not have credibility. This Government will continue to reform and take courageous decisions in the best interest of the Maltese and Gozitans," the party concluded.
Earlier in the day, PN MPs Mark Anthony Sammut and David Agius addressed a press conference in Msida Valley about Malta's traffic problem - ironically having been late themselves due to traffic - and said that the government does not have an effective long-term plan to curb traffic.
