A 70-year-old was grievously injured in a traffic accident.
At around 11:15 a.m., the police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq l-Imġarr, Għajnsielem, Gozo.
The police went to the scene, and from preliminary investigations, it emerged that a collision had occurred between a Kia Picanto driven by a 41-year-old Italian man and a Honda motorcycle driven by a 70-year-old elderly man residing in Xewkija.
A medical team was called to the scene, and an ambulance took the elderly man to the Gozo General Hospital.
Later, he was certified as having suffered grievous injuries.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
