The Nationalist Party executive committee on Thursday approved another three candidates for the general election.

The approved candidates are Andrew Agius for the Third Electoral District, Owen Sciberras for the Fifth Electoral District and Josephine Xuereb for the Seventh Electoral District

Andrew Agius is a young, first-time candidate who will be contesting the general election under the Partit Nazzjonalista banner for the very first time. The other approved candidates, Owen Sciberras and Josephine Xuereb, have already contested the last general election with the Partit Nazzjonalista.

During the meeting, Leader of the Partit Nazzjonalista Bernard Grech, thanked these newly approved candidates as well as others who have already expressed interest in being part of the Partit Nazzjonalista team for the general election, and who will be approved in the coming weeks and months.

Yesterday's approvals form part of an ongoing process that began at the end of last year with the selection of the first group of new candidates for the next general election - a process that will eventually lead to the full approval of the party's complete list of candidates.
