The Farsons Beer Festival is back for its 43rd edition at the Ta' Qali National Park from Thursday 3 July to Saturday 12 July.
The 10-day Festival, synonymous with the Maltese summer and a firm fixture on the island's season calendar, features an extensive range of local beers proudly brewed at the Farsons Brewery alongside a selection of imported international brands. The Festival features two stages showcasing Malta's top musicians, artists and bands, a dedicated dance area with a line-up of top local DJs, and a chill Aperitivo area for those Latino, soul, funk, R&B and Afrobeat vibes.
Visitors are invited to enjoy a vibrant atmosphere brimming with the finest musicians, artists and bands while enjoying a choice of a diverse selection of over 30 award-winning locally brewed and imported beers and ciders, including gluten-free beer options.
The line-up of artists and bands on the Main Stage include none other than Aidan, fresh from his stunning concert last month, Eurovision star Miriana Conte, as well as local music heavyweights The Travellers, Red Electric and Tribali and many others. This year the Festival will also host international tribute bands ABBA Revival and Bon Giovi, also performing on the Main Stage.
The Rock Stage line-up features veteran rock bands such as RUG, Fakawi, BNI, Beangrowers and many others as well as newcomers to the Maltese rock scene such as Impertex, Soul, Outbound amongst others.
Casa Electronica, an attraction in its own right, features a selection of Malta's top DJs including Junior B, Carlo Gerada, Ruby, DeezTwo, Debrii, Miss Roberta and more.
For the first time ever, the Festival is offering an extended beverage menu, with the addition of Aperol and Campari available at Aperitivo District alongside Kinnie Spritz and the recently launched Kinnie Rumba, Jagermeister offered at Casa Electronica and Jameson Whisky in the Irish Corner.
The Aperitivo District, previously Pjazza Kinnie, will be back this year with its laid-back set-up and good vibes, featuring a line-up of various bands and artists such as Mr Oasis & Samira, Grupo Jogando Samba, Samfrom94, The Groovers and many others.
In keeping with the current trends, a dedicated Craft Beer area will feature a wide range of craft beers from breweries including Red Mill Brewing Co, Birra Baladin, Bellfield Brewery, St Austell Brewery, The Huskie Craft Beer Company and Lord Chambray Brewery.
Steve Borg, Business Support Manager - Events & Sponsorships at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc said, "Our local bands and artists are the mainstay of the Festival, and as every year, we have planned an extensive line-up featuring Malta's top and upcoming artists and bands. This year we are also introducing two international tribute bands, ABBA Revival and Bon Giovi, likely to be a hit with our visitors.
Moreover, as we continue to elevate and expand the Festival offering, this year we are introducing an extended beverage range in specific areas of the Festival grounds."
A Kids Area will keep the little ones entertained and the ever-popular food court ensures that no one goes hungry.
The official Festival beer mug, now a firm item in the many enthusiasts' collection, will be available for sale exclusively at the bars until stocks last, along with Festival branded reusable cups which should help to minimize plastic waste.
The Artisan Market also returns with handmade products, unique finds, and artisan curiosities.
