The Delicata Winery announces the 22nd edition of Malta's grandest wine fest, the Delicata Classic Wine Festival in Valletta.
This three-day weekend of great Maltese wines, delicious food and a star-studded line-up of local musical talent takes place at the Upper Barrakka Gardens, Valletta, on 8, 9 and 10 August 2025.
The Delicata Classic Wine Festival is Malta's longest-running festival celebrating quality wines of Malta and the Maltese grape harvest. It attracts thousands of tourists and Maltese wine lovers alike with vinous and culinary flavours and experiences unique to the Maltese islands.
It promises to be grander than ever with a great line-up of wine, food, and live music cumulating in a "Legends of Pop" finale.
This year's edition of Delicata's celebrated summer wine festival runs nightly from 7pm until midnight, inviting you to sip, savour and sing along under the stars.
Delicata's much-loved wine extravaganza will, as always, showcase the incredible depth of Delicata's wine selection.
This year's selection of over 20 labels includes the ever-popular Dolcino and exclusive Falcon wines, the lush Casella Moscato and other Classic Collection varietals, plus all three Pjazza Reġina wines, as well as the sparkling Frizzantes and the refined DOK Malta Medina and DOK Gozo Victoria Heights boutique lines. Definitively, look out for award-winning premium signature ranges like Gran Cavalier and Grand Vin de Hauteville. And, of course, the lifestyle SpritZZers will be back too.
Sunday night will dazzle with a spectacular "Legends of Pop" tribute to timeless pop hits. Expect powerful vocals, iconic tunes and high energy as Maltese music stars Glen Vella, Ludwig Galea, and Michela Galea join forces with the Spiteri Lucas Band for an unforgettable live show of classic pop covers.
Each evening kicks off with live performances from top local acts. On Friday, the stage welcomes Lara and the Jukeboys followed by the great Matthew James. The Crowns return on Saturday before fan-favourite Kurt Calleja woos the crowd. On Sunday, Cash and Band set the tone before the Legends of Pop finale.
Live cooking stations will fuel your evening with a wide variety of mouth-watering Maltese and international cuisine, all freshly prepared by Malta's trusted culinary talents from Corinthia Caterers and Busy Bee with their pop-up Kannoli Bar.
Now in its 22nd year, this community-focused celebration is more than just a wine festival. It is a big toast to local culture, flavour, music and togetherness. Whether you are a wine enthusiast or simply love a vibrant summer night out, this is the place to be.
As well as producing a wide range of propriety wine brands, Malta's foremost winemaker actively supports the local music, arts, culture and culinary scenes. Whilst creating awareness for sustainable local farming and responsible wine appreciation, the Festival is part of Delicata's environment, social and governance (ESG) commitment, and supported by VisitMalta.
Admission is free. For just €25 you can enjoy a wine tasting experience that includes a souvenir wine glass which is yours to take home and 24 wine coins.
