Malta made history on Friday, 1st August 2025, with the inauguration of Colours in Europe with Maltese Reflections, a groundbreaking art exhibition celebrating local and European creativity. Hosted in the elegantly transformed Skoda Showroom on Mdina Road, Ħaż-Żebbuġ, the event marked the first exhibition of its kind in the world.

A stunning collection of 42 hand-painted mannequins, each crafted by one of 37 artists based in Malta, Gozo, and across the European Union, turned fashion into fine art. The opening ceremony was led by Josephine Ebejer Grech, presenting on behalf of Catwalk Productions International, founded and directed by Paul Chetcuti, a pillar of Malta's cultural scene for nearly four decades.

In an emotional address, Chetcuti shared his vision of blending artistic styles and personal identity across borders and generations. The exhibition's innovation and cultural impact were formally recognised when Malta Records awarded Chetcuti with a certificate for hosting the largest collection of Maltese-painted mannequins ever assembled under one artistic concept.

Guests received a commemorative booklet featuring artist biographies and professional photographs of their unique creations. Esteemed Maltese artist Joseph Barbara delivered a rousing speech on art's power to unite communities and enrich public life.

The exhibition runs until  Saturday, 30th August, with the following opening hours:

 Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Open all day)
