The Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health has notified that that during the last days, repeated sampling of seawater from the bathing site at Wied iz-Zurrieq shows that it is once again fit for bathing and thus the health warning is hereby being lifted.

On 9 August, the Environmental Health Directorate had issued a warning that swimming at Wied iż-Żurrieq was not recommended due to a sewage overflow from a private property.
