Frank Bonnici returns to the Malta Society of Arts in Republic Street, Valletta on 29th October with an evening of Film Music. This year, Bonnici introduces a romantic touch to his performance, offering natural, heartfelt interpretations of beloved film themes. Expect stirring renditions from Love Story, The Godfather, Midnight Express, A Man and a Woman, Romeo and Juliet, and the Warsaw Concerto. The evening will also feature music from James Bond 007, selections by Steven Schlacks, and other surprises drawn from the romantic tradition.
Adding vibrancy to the performance, renowned percussionist Joe Camilleri and double bassist Anthony Saliba will join Bonnici on stage, enriching the concert with rhythm and depth.
Frank and Joe recently returned from a very successful performance given on 13 September, in the small village of Gardie in Southern France.
For the second time, the local Association des Clochers du Barris had invited a Maltese musician to give a concert. German cultural manager Xenia Lorenz-Rebers acts as artistic director for the association on a voluntary basis and had recommended Maltese jazz pianist Frank Bonnici, who now lives in Prague and is known for his popular concerts.

He was accompanied by drummer Joe Bibi Camilleri from Malta, saxophonist Filip Rysavy from Prague and Cuban bassist Carlos del Pino, who lives in New York. The concert took place in the concert hall of Domaine Costebelle, a former winery with typical southern French charm. Mayor Jean Roger warmly welcomed the international musicians and the visitors.

Standing ovations and encores were followed with a ‘verre d'honneur' from Domaine Garrabou which rounded off the evening.
Now he will soon be back in Malta. Next month Bonnici will bring the same spirit of elegance and emotional resonance that captivated audiences abroad. "I'm truly looking forward to returning to Malta," says Bonnici, "and sharing an evening of harmony, love, peace, and music with our wonderful audience."
