Missio Malta is once again collaborating with long-time adventure partner Mosta Scout Group to raise funds for missions through its annual Abseiling and Ziplining Marathon set to take place at Mosta Bridge this weekend on the 11 and 12 October.

"Once again we are teaming up with our long-time collaborators Mosta Scout Group who have been supporting us in this adventure from the very start. Through the indomitable enthusiasm of the volunteers of Mosta Scout Group we are able to offer an opportunity for adventure to the Maltese public, for a great cause. Over the past 14 years, we have ziplined and abseiled thousands of enthusiastic participants, in an event which has grown from strength to strength. We are confident that this year will not be an exception, and we will manage to raise more funds to help people in need in several locations," Head of Communications and Fund-Raising Robert Farrugia said.

The event which is in its 14th edition, shall be raising funds for Maltese missions in Africa, South America and Asia. It forms part of a month-long series of events taking place throughout October which is dedicated to missions around the world, culminating in World Mission Day 2025 which will be celebrated on Sunday, October 19, 2025, with the theme "Missionaries of Hope Among all Peoples".

All sporting activities taking place on the 11 and 12 October, will be led by professionally certified Mosta Scout Group personnel and all activities will be covered by the necessary insurance policy.

Consent forms, available online and in hard copy on location are required for participation. In the case of minors, forms are to be filled in from beforehand.
