Lorraine Paris is a versatile artist whose passion for painting has flourished over the past two decades. Her passion for colour and her fascination with light and dark inspire her to paint them on canvas. Lorraine Paris has been exploring the boundless possibilities of paint, developing a visual language that bridges realism and abstraction.

Her artistic practice spans a variety of genres, from finely rendered pet portraits to expressive studies of the human figure. Whether she is capturing the soulful gaze of a domestic animal or the subtle movement of the human body, her work radiates empathy and emotional depth.

Working primarily in acrylics, soft pastels, and watercolours, Lorraine finds freedom in texture and layering, allowing each piece to evolve organically. Her sensitivity to tone and contrast gives her paintings a luminous quality, evoking atmosphere and introspection.

Her first solo exhibition, Brushstrokes, held in June 2018, marked a significant milestone in her artistic career. Since then, her work has been featured in various exhibitions across the island, earning her recognition for both her technical skill and her expressive versatility.

Lorraine is now preparing for her upcoming solo exhibition, Visions in Contrast, which will be held at Razzett tal-Markiz in Mosta from 25th October till 2nd November. Opening times will be from Monday to Sunday 10.00 - 12.00 and 18.00 - 20.00.
The exhibition promises to be a striking exploration of balance and opposition - where light meets shadow, abstraction meets realism, and emotion meets form.
